Kim Kressaty is a Partner at FarSight Group. She joins FarSight Group after nearly 30 years of working in both the Consumer Packaged Goods and Business-to-Business arenas. For most of her career, Kim worked in the SC Johnson family of companies. She held sales and sales management positions, along with marketing positions, where she was responsible for both line maintenance and the development of new products, expanding existing product lines and launching new brands, including developing and launching the first commercial cyclonic vacuum in North America. In addition to these marketing roles, Kim worked in New Business Development and Mergers and Acquisitions, expanding the business' portfolios through both organic new business opportunities and acquisitions. Kim also spent part of her career in executive Organizational Effectiveness positions, focusing on executive and senior manager leadership development and performance management.
While serving as Director of Strategic Planning for Johnson Wax Professional, Kim recognized the downsides of the traditional "planning" process. During that time Kim met Dr. George Land of the FarSight Group and became a client of the company. Kim deployed the FarSight Group process for Strategic Innovation in many instances, including creating a corporate learning organization and process, developing plans for a new business entry, designing the Human Resources strategy for integration of a large acquisition, and assisting the R&D organization in project prioritization and new product development, amongst others. She also transferred the processes of FarSight Group's Advanced Innovation Method to the Ideation group for JohnsonDiversey. As a client, Kim has experienced, facilitated and trained others in the FarSight Group processes.
Kim has a B.S. in Biology from Framingham State College. She did her Masters work in Business at the University of Tulsa and Chapman College. She is a member of the advisory board for the Sarver Heart Center, University of Arizona.
